Celebrating 55 Years!

 Dahlkemper Landscape Architects & Contractors kicked off their anniversary year with a booth at the Erie Home and Garden Expo this last weekend, February 25-28 at the Erie Convention Center.  With humble beginnings in the landscape field in 1955 the Dahlkemper business has continued to grow and thrive here into 2010.

The design of the booth contained elements of history all the way to current trends in todays outdoor environment.  A 1953 Chevy pickup is similar to the truck that Chuck Dahlkemper started the business with.  There were also old reel mowers with and without motors as well as several antique handtools, including, shovels, forks, hooks, hoes and grass and hedge clippers. 

The business has evolved to modern mechanized and computerized equipment is run by well trained landscape personnel.  Current trends exhibited included pre constructed waterfall and firepit units as well as pervious pavement system.  

No matter the materials and equipment, the Dahlkemper designers are award winning in their approach.  Many of the recent awards from the Builders Association of NW PA were on display.  These awards cover many different categories of landscape as well as many different price ranges.
