This project started one year prior to the residence being built. Placement of the house on the wooded land was made, with consideration given to views from the street. Careful clearing of the land at the construction site was done for adequate light around the house and to help shape the spaces around the house. A flagstone walkway leads you to the cottage entry garden in the front, surrounding the welcoming porch. Rain chains enhance the Erie showers. Mowing is reduced with a meadow border of wildflowers as a transition to the natural area. And, although the infrastructure is in place, additional phases are to follow to complete the master plan of the garden.
