Celebrating 60 Years: Cathedral Prep and St. Peter's Cathedral

NULL

Tuesday Feb 3rd, 2015

When Chuck Dahlkemper graduated from Cathedral Prep in 1952, tuition was $32 per year. Dad was already mowing lawns and providing lawn care and when he graduated, he picked up the work taking care of the Cathedral block.

He gave this section on West 9th St. special attention. The lawns here were just outside of the administrative offices where a young St. Benedict Academy graduate was working as a secretary. She was spending time working here while contemplating entering the convent. Monsignor ' Black Mac ' MacDonald chastised him good naturedly for wearing out the grass outside the office windows and that secretary, Mary Jane Seelinger became his bride!

Improving Cathedral Prep's environment for 60 years!

Testimonials

Krista and I would like to pass on to your crew that we really do enjoy our front yard. We have found people stopping by to look at it as if it were a piece of art, of course we know it is. It has made a big difference in our enjoyment of our home. We will highly recommend you to all of our friends.

Sincerely,
Jim Strafford
