Celebrating 60 Years: The Avalon Hotel Courtyard

NULL

Thursday Jan 15th, 2015

In 2002 the Avalon asked Dahlkemper Landscape Architects & Contractors to look at its struggling courtyard.

The result in this narrow area was an elevated water feature and shade tolerant plantings to create a backdrop to the smaller ballroom. Water helps to bring nature back into a downtown urban environment and softens the sounds of the city. The courtyard then functions as an extension of the ballroom for events for the Avalon and provides and attractive amenity for photos and visitors. Improving the environment where we recreate.

Testimonials

Krista and I would like to pass on to your crew that we really do enjoy our front yard. We have found people stopping by to look at it as if it were a piece of art, of course we know it is. It has made a big difference in our enjoyment of our home. We will highly recommend you to all of our friends.

Sincerely,
Jim Strafford
